As Co-founder of TruePoint, Margaret leads mindfulness based education programs combining her coaching skills and decades of experience as a senior meditation instructor, clinical counselor and registered art therapist. A graduate of the Authentic Leadership coaching program at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, Margaret brings a profound respect for the coach-client relationship grounded in her years of mindfulness practice and Humanistic Psychology. She offers the Creative Paths to Leadership seminar to women in business, and to youth, based on the Authentic Leadership model. Known for her directness, warmth, and sense of humor, she inspires others to meet difficult challenges with energy and heart.
She has developed MBAT, mindfulness based art therapy and offers regular, open-studio courses. She co-developed the first treatment program for sexually abused children and their families in British Columbia and in the 1970’s she helped develop the first training programs for professionals working with these issues. She is an instructor at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, the BC School of Art Therapy, and within the Life and Career program at UBC.
